Never Knocked On Doors? Come Find Out How It's Done!
Have you been re-engaged, re-energized, and re-invigorated by the developments in the elections recently? Are you caught up in all the momentum and enthusiasm and thinking about getting involved personally for the very first time? Are you a bit nervous and cautious about doing something political for the first time and confused by all these terms like “canvassing”, “voter out-reach”, GOTV?
Come attend a FREE orientation for NEW, FIRST-TIME VOLUNTEERS by Vote Blue NYC on Thursday, August 15 from 6:30 - 7:30pm. We organize buses to ferry eager NYC volunteers to competitive Congressional districts near the city and we’ll show you how we do what we do. We’ll answer questions like:
- What is “canvassing”?
- What do I need to participate?
- Where are we going?
- Will I be safe?
- I’m an introvert. Can I do this?
We’ll answer all of these questions and more. We will also leave time at the end for lively Q&A to answer any specific questions you might have.
Thinking about volunteering and want to make the biggest impact you can but don’t know where to start? Come find out.
