New York City voter registration deadlines
Ensuring you’re registered to vote for the election is crucial to make sure your voice is heard.
- The 2024 US Presidential Primary in New York took place on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
- Changes of address for the General Election must be processed by the Board of Elections by Monday October 21, 2024.
- The deadline for voter registration for the General Election is Saturday October 26, 2024. Last day applications must be received by the Board of Elections on this date in order to be eligible to vote in the election.
- Applications for absentee or early voting (whether by mail or online) must be received by the Board of Elections by Saturday October 26, 2024 to be eligible for the General Election.
- Early voting for the General Election will take place from Saturday October 26 to Sunday November 3, 2024.
- The 2024 US General Election will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2024.
- Mail ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday November 5, 2024 and must be received by Tuesday November 12, 2024 in order to be valid.
